Fox Energy Specialists is both a HERS certified Training Provider as well as being a BPI Affiliate Trainer. We offer training services for multiple certifications under these programs for individuals interested in expanding their knowledge of the green movement...Green Begins With Energy Efficiency®.
Additionally, we offer on-site and classroom training for construction and sales staff. Our experienced and qualified trainers will cover energy efficient construction practices for construction staff and sub-contractors. Training materials contain easy to follow instructions. Some are available in English and Spanish. This will improve quality assurance and increase productivity. Sales staff will learn ENERGY STAR marketing features to improve their presentation to homebuyers and increase sales.

Overview:
HERS 101 – HERS Rater Training. Four (04) day ALL classroom training. This will include 3 days of comprehensive teaching and review from our standard training resources. (Fox Energy Rater Training Manual and Residential Energy Book). Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared to take the National HERS Rater Exam. The 4th day will be review and exam.
Course Format. Format for the course will be Monday through Wednesday classroom training with review on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings, followed by the test.
Re-testing opportunities to be offered based on (1) availability of the student and (2) availability of the trainer. Successful completion of HERS 101 will be a pre-requisite to HERS 102.
Cost per Student. $499.00. This includes a copy of Residential Energy and our standard CD with training and reference material. Students must pay an additional fee of $50 for the cost of the exam made payable directly to RESNET.
