Thermal Imaging Energy Diagnostic Survey

Plans AnalysisThis survey will focus on 10 key areas in your home. We will be using a high tech Infrared camera to take real time pictures of your walls, ceiling, floors, windows, doors, duct system, attic insulation, air conditioning unit, electrical outlets, electrical panels and more. When we identify a concern, the auditor will place a small removable tag to identify the area.

The auditor will give you a verbal report of areas of concern and recommendations of their findings. The auditor will show you the tags he placed on those areas of concern. We encourage you to do the walk through with the inspector so you can see for yourself the real time pictures from the infrared camera gun.

HVAC TestingBasic Energy Audit

This includes a 61 step visual inspection plus thermal imaging energy diagnostic survey. The auditor will also conduct low E window testing and carbon monoxide testing for gas appliances, if needed.

We will be looking for common areas for improvement such as appropriate insulation levels in your walls and attics, duct sealing, weather stripping, and window to wall ratios, etc.

InspectionsComprehensive Energy Audit

This includes the Thermal Imaging Energy Diagnostic Survey, the Basic Energy Audit package plus an air sealing package, which includes blower door and duct blower testing to check for whole house air leakage and duct leakage.

This way we will be able to determine whether or not you are cooling and/or heating just the livable space in your home or that the cooled or heated air is leaking to the outside or into the attic.

This package may also qualify your home up to $1500.00 of cash incentives through the ONCOR program. The way it works is that ONCOR will be issuing cash incentives up to $1500.00 for energy efficient upgrades or fixes based on the preliminary analysis that we conduct. Or, they may also be able to assist in financing your energy efficient improvements, with a credit line of up to $15,000.00 at a 7.99% fixed rate.

We will provide ONCOR with the recommended home improvements made and the post analysis data which verifies ONCOR’S the projected energy savings for your home

Full Home Energy Rating

Comprehensive Audit package plus a rating report which scores the home’s energy efficiency based on a HERS index. The rating report will include estimated consumption data and comparisons on how ell the home performs against new construction within the marketplace.

The whole audit will last 2 to 4 hours.

With each package you will receive an Energy Audit Report that includes:

  • Findings and recommendations for Energy Improvements by each specific item.
  • Improvement Prioritization for items that would be most cost effective. (High, medium, or low).
  • Testing Results on applicable audits with energy conservation, health and safety measures to be taken.
