Currently, the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), is required for all residential single-family construction in the State of Texas. However, many Texas municipalities have adopted more stringent stretch codes (i.e. 2018 IECC, 2021 IECC) that go beyond the minimum State requirements.
